Hi, my name is Michael Brown. I am an Oracle ACE, and I will be using this page primarily to post tips and tricks that can be useful for an Oracle E-Business Suite DBA, Some of the postings will be of general use for any DBA (and some of them may have nothing to do with Oracle at all).
I have been working the Oracle Database since 1993, the E-Business Suite since 1997 and various flavors of Unix/Linux since 1986. I have a B.S Computer Science from Appalachian State University and an M.S. Computer Science from Clemson University. I’m a member of OATUG (formerly OAUG), ODTUG, and was a member of IOUG until was disbanded. I have the honor to be the Chair of the OATUG Database SIG, the Chair of the OATUG Advanced Architecture and High Availability SIG, and the Secretary for the OATUG Sysadmin SIG. At Collaborate 2013, I was named the OAUG Member of the Year. I currently work for BlueStar as the Applications DBA.
